The plan was to pay the lighthouse fee to capture the sunset, but they were planning to close a full hour before this. I found a great spot just west of the Harbour Town lighthouse along the 18th hole of the Harbour Town Golf Course near the water's edge. Not the best of sunsets this evening, but nonetheless, a great spot for catching them.

A single 820 second star trail exposure from our deck at the Marriott Harbour Pointe resort on Hilton Head Island. Until this shot, I had thought we had faced due west.
Lens used: Canon 16-35 L mk. II.

From the Hilton Head Island shoreline. Mostly, the beach was devoid of shells, except for this one small spot.
